Giving Season: Four weeks of Holiday Giveaways — With a Purpose
The holiday season has officially arrived, and we’re excited to kick off four weeks of meaningful giveaways!
We began with a cause that is close to our hearts: tackling food insecurity in Toronto. Food insecurity affects thousands of families across our city, and together, we can help lighten the load.
Week 1 some of our amazing followers shared their own efforts: feeding young children at school, making soup for neighbours, donating non-perishables and unwrapped gifts, and preparing lunches for local shelters. These small actions create big change, and we’re honoured to highlight them.
With our followers support we were about to donate $250 to the Daily Bread Food Bank.
Week 2 the theme was Random Acts of Kindness. This week was all about those small, quiet moments of kindness.
Some of our followers shared their own efforts: collecting gifts cards and fulfilling wish lists for women and children in shelters, shoveling a neighbours driveway, getting a friend a coffee or paying for a strangers coffee, helping elderly neighbours with their groceries, showing a stranger directions in the city, and donating perishable foods and clothing to charities.
Week 3 will be all about Shopping Local this Holiday Season. During this time of year, it is so important to support the hard work of your local shops. The Winner will receive a $100 gift certificate to their favorite local shop!
